The wombat says: Grab your winkle-pickers Wombat Fans as we’re heading back to the 1950s with Vinyl Countdown slot. Let us set the scene at bit: in the 50’s rock ‘n’ roll music exploded – new singles were released on vinyl by record companies every week and the kids danced their (pop) socks off in shake shacks, burger joints and diners. Look and Feel
As you’d expect, the soundtrack to this slot is inspired by the era’s greats (think Elvis, Chuck Berry and Jerry Lee Lewis), and this rock n roll theme extends to the slot’s design too, that is made up of retro illustrated graphics set in a classic American diner. Overall it’s not bad at all- looks like the same kind of era as the Gift Rap slot– that’s the design era we mean.
Game Play
Vinyl Countdown slot has 5 reels, 3 rows and 9 pay-lines, less than say the Piggy Fortunes slot. We’s put this game down as a medium variance slot. Your retro-styled symbols on the reels are made up of variety of tasty-looking desserts; a knickerbocker glory, a banana split and some weird looking thing covered in chocloate.
Then there’s the Vinyl Countdown logo, a couple dancing, a pair of winklepicker shoes, a Danny Zuko look-a-like complete with coiffured quiff and a Sandra D symbol sporting a ponytail, ribbon and baby blue cardigan.

The biggest payout comes from landing 5x of the Vinyl Countdown logos anywhere on the reels for which you’ll receive 1000x your bet. Awesome!
The Jukebox symbol is your Wild symbol in this slot and it will do the usual job of substituting for other symbols (except for the Scatter Glitter Ball) on the reels to complete winning combinations. The Wild Jukebox symbol will only appears on the second, third and fourth reels.

Conclusion
Let’s face it, just like rock ‘n’ roll music, Vinyl Countdown slot is a bit outdated and without a bonus round the game lacks any real meaty payouts. BUT, the theme is a cracker so if you’re a fan of the era you really should check it out!
